General

What kinds of sessions do you offer?
Weddings and elopements, engagements, families, portraits and headshots, and events. If you are not sure what category fits best, send me your date and what you need photographed and I’ll point you in the right direction.
Where are you based? Do you travel?
I’m based in Denver and photograph across the metro area. Travel outside a 25-mile radius of 80206 is available. Depending on the job, that is either mileage or a simple all-in travel quote.
How long are sessions usually?
Family and portrait sessions usually run 30 to 90 minutes depending on the package. Events start at a 2-hour minimum. Weddings depend on the package, with 6-hour and 8-hour coverage being common starting points.
How quickly do you reply?
Most inquiries get a same-business-day response, often sooner. If it’s a busy weekend, I usually follow up the next business day.

Booking & Payment

How do I book?
Use the Contact / Book form and send your date, location, and what you need. I’ll confirm availability, recommend the best-fit option, and send next steps.
Do you require a retainer?
Yes. A signed agreement and retainer secure your date. Weddings are typically booked with a 30% retainer. Portraits, families, and events are booked with a smaller retainer or deposit depending on the service.
When is the remaining balance due?
For weddings, the remaining balance is typically due 30 days before the event. For portraits, families, and events, the balance is usually due before the session or event date unless otherwise arranged.
Can I reschedule?
Usually, yes. Outdoor sessions can be rescheduled for unsafe or unworkable weather. For standard sessions, one reasonable reschedule is usually fine with notice. Weddings and larger events follow the agreement terms because those dates are held much further in advance.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept major cards and electronic payments through invoicing. Wedding bookings can sometimes be split into scheduled payments depending on timing.

Delivery & Files

How are the photos delivered?
Through a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images. For most sessions, the gallery also includes access to professional print ordering.
What’s the turnaround time?
Weddings include sneak peeks in 72 hours, with full galleries delivered in 6–8 weeks depending on package and season. Families and portraits are typically delivered in 7–10 days. Events are usually delivered in 3–5 business days.
How many photos will I receive?
That depends on the package and service type. Family and portrait sessions are usually delivered as a curated set rather than every frame taken. Events are often delivered at roughly 50 or more edited images per hour. Wedding galleries vary by coverage length and pace of the day.
Do I get printing rights?
Yes. Weddings, families, portraits, and engagements include personal-use rights for downloading, printing, and sharing. Commercial or campaign-based use may require a simple licensing agreement depending on the job.
Do you retouch images?
Every delivered image is edited for color, contrast, and consistency. Portrait and headshot sessions include a set number of retouched final selects depending on the package. Additional retouching can be quoted if needed.

Planning & Session Prep

Can you help me choose a location?
Yes. I’ve put together a guide with my go-to outdoor locations around Denver based on lighting, accessibility, and overall experience. View recommended locations → If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to recommend the best option based on your family, timing, and the look you want.
What should we wear?
Neutrals, soft texture, and simple coordination usually photograph best. I recommend avoiding heavy logos or very bright patterns unless that is part of the look you want. After booking, I can send simple guidance based on the session type.
What if my kids are unpredictable?
That’s normal. Family sessions are built to make room for movement, breaks, and real interaction. The goal is not perfect behavior. The goal is usable, honest photos.
Do you help with wedding timelines?
Yes. Wedding coverage includes guidance around timing, family-photo flow, and how to protect enough room for portraits without making the day feel over-managed.

Service-Specific Questions

Are engagement sessions included with wedding packages?
They are included with select wedding packages and available as an add-on for others. The pricing page shows which collections include them and which offer a bundled rate.
Do you offer mini sessions for families?
Yes. There is a mini option, but many families end up choosing the classic session because it gives more time, more flexibility, and a stronger final gallery.
Can you photograph recurring events or ongoing content?
Yes. I offer ongoing plans and repeat coverage for families, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and organizations that need photography more than once per year.
Do you photograph branding or professional content beyond headshots?
Yes. Portrait and branding sessions can be built for individuals, teams, and small businesses that need a stronger set of usable images instead of just one headshot.
